Hyaluronic fillers

Hyaluronic fillers are dermal fillers based on hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in our skin.

Hyaluronic acid:

  • helps to build our skin
  • plays a major role in maintaining water balance and is thus important for good skin hydration

As we age, the skin loses hyaluronic acid due to certain enzymes that break it down. Hyaluronic acid deficiency results in a decrease in skin elasticity and the formation of wrinkles and irregularities.

Who are hyaluronic fillers for?

Today, hyaluronic acid is most often used to fill already formed wrinkles, but it can also be used by younger people to prevent the formation of wrinkles.

With the appearance of the first wrinkles, we are ready to take care of our appearance and prevent aging.

Aging is a natural process, and old age is the last stage in our lives, which we want to delay as long as possible. One way is the process of rejuvenation with aesthetic treatments. Physical appearance plays a big role here.

Aging is an individual process and depends on:

  • genetics
  • lifestyle

Hyaluronic fillers at dental clinic dr.Inga Vučković

Corrective procedures with hyaluronic fillers in our clinic are limited to the following areas:

  • face
  • neck

In conversation with the patient, we find out his wishes and expectations and choose the optimal treatment. We explain to the patient how and what we are going to do. Before starting with the treatment, our patient fills out a health questionnaire and consent to the procedure.

Before the procedure, it is necessary to prepare the skin, which means that we remove all decorative cosmetics (makeup) from the face or neck. The skin is coated with a local anesthetic. Some fillers contain a local anesthetic. After a few minutes we disinfect the skin surface and we can start the treatment.

When filling your lips, our dentist will give you a local anesthetic to make the procedure completely painless.

Using small and thin needles, we inject the filler into the desired area. The patient can see the result immediately. The treatment lasts about 30 minutes, depending on the amount of filler we apply.

Common reactions are:

  • redness
  • hematoma
  • bruising

These reactions are frequent but transient. They disappear spontaneously after a few hours to a few days. The effect of the product depends on a number of factors that we associate with the injection zone, the technique used, the skin type, and the lifestyle of the patient.

The durability of results

The effect of a single injection can last for approximately 6 months to more than a year. Subsequent treatments prolong the duration of the effect.

Why is it good to do fillers with a dentist?

  • As experts, they know the anatomy of the head and neck very well.
  • Routinely they use needles on a daily basis in hard-to-reach places.
  • They know the technique of local anesthesia.
  • They work in maximally sterile conditions.
  • Procedures are performed with great precision.
